2017 Tax Rate
Council approved the 2017 Tax Rate Bylaw at the May 9 regular council meeting. Tax notices will be mailed the week of May 26, 2017, and payments are due by July 31, 2017. Late payment penalties of 18% will be applied on current outstanding accounts on August 1, 2017. A further penalty of 18% shall be applied to all taxes that remain unpaid as of December 31, 2017. Use this form to update your support for Alberta Schools. If we do not have this information on file 100% of your school levy will default to Alberta School Foundation Fund (public schools).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE ASSESSMENT ROLL AND TAXATION ROLL of the Village of Caroline, made under provisions of the Municipal Government Act, has been prepared. Combined Assessment and Taxation Notices will be mailed on May 26, 2017. If you have not received your notice by the end of May/early June, please contact the
Village Office and a printed copy can be picked up during regular office hours.
The Assessment Roll is open for inspection at the Village office during regular office hours, Tuesday – Fridays from 9am – 4pm.
Taxpayers, or an assessed person, wishing to submit a complaint regarding any assessment must do so within 60 days from the date notices were mailed in accordance with Section 460 of the Municipal Government Act. Complaints must follow the direction indicated on the back of the tax notice. The last date of receipt for complaints will be July 25, 2017. For inquiries, please contact the Village at 403-722-3781.
